Hey all - I'm Maya and I'm a senior Math major at Tech! Growing up, I often heard stories of the notorious glass ceiling. It's a disheartening reality for many women, even in the 21st century. Personally, these details have only motivated me to become an avid feminist and utilize my privilege to help others. With that said, I'm looking forward to a productive year! Feel free to reach out to me about anything and everything. :) Our club is an inclusive space for all voices!

Hello everyone! My name is Mariya and I am a junior in the PharmD major. I am very excited to work with all of you next year and hope to bring a lasting impact on our community. Being a part of this chapter of GLI is an opportunity for me to empower other young women and mentor them in a way that can change their lives, just as many of my mentors have helped me. Additionally, spreading awareness about such issues is vital for the prosperity of rising female leaders and innovators. I hope that through this network, we can all learn new things and bond as a Tech community!

Hi everyone, my name is Dorothy Chan! I am in the Civil Engineering major and I am also a part of many clubs at Tech, such as the BTHS Sustainability Club and Envirothon. Aside from this, I initially wanted to create this club because I felt that there was a significant gender divide in our society that has led to obvious social inequalities. This was an issue that was severely overlooked, yet needed to be addressed. As a result, I wanted to spread awareness and take action upon the clear disadvantages that women face today, in not only my community but around the world as well. With that said, with this club, I hope that we will take a step in the right direction in creating a positive change in our society :)

Hello, lovelies! My name is Salome Jincharadze! I'm a junior in the Social Science Research major, and part of Tech's chorus and spring musical. I am 120% a people person and will be here to answer any of your questions, listen to any comments, and/or ease your worries. When Mariya asked me to be part of the executive board for this club, I was honored, since organizations such as GLI truly make a difference in the world, and I am beyond grateful that I have the opportunity to spread awareness and use whatever platforms I can for the greater good! <3
